Chrysler Still the Laggard, Despite Cash for Clunkers
I think "Cash for Clunkers" was a great idea! Dealerships have reported dramatic increases in sales than before. It is good for the environment good for the consumer and the economy. It is a ray of light in gloomy darkness for the U.S. economy. Best of all is that the metal from the clunkers is being recycled! Everybody is happy!

I do agree with you but not completely. This country is in a huge debt and "Cash for Clunkers" will drive people further in debt. Also, used car dealerships must have it pretty rough. Who wants to buy a used car when you can get more money for your used one? I don't think a lot of people are financially set to take out these loans for their brand new cars. Only time will tell.
ReplyDeleteYeah, I also agree with both you & Romo. "Cash for Clunkers" was an extremely good program and could help people that desperately needed a new car to get reliable transportation that is also more enviornmentally friendly. But, there were many, many people that traded in their clunkers for new cars and will not be able to afford their payments, let alone insurance. They're making it too easy for people to buy brand new cars when they cannot afford it.
